SS - Gold Buffet

The Gold Buffet began with a buffet in Winterset, Iowa in 1958 and expanded to Kansas City in 1961. The North Kansas City Gold Buffet served customers from 1961 to 1994. For part of this time entertainment, including Las Vegas celebrities, was offered in a showroom that was added in 1975.

  1. You can learn so much from vintage / antique ephemera. I love old trade cards, as well.

Thanks for stopping by the cottage and commenting on my flea market finds.

Be sure to stop back by and enter my giveaway!

  2. Yummm... Buffet. I've started to steer clear of that word because it incites the term "over-indulgence". Thanks for stopping by my blog last week- I'm just now getting around to catching up with everyone. See you for PFF!

  3. Finnigans which use to be called the Gold Buffet carries a history unlike most business, it once hosted some of the biggest names in show business. Performers such as: Bob Hope, Marty Robbins, Red Skelton,Patti Page, Mickey Gilley and The Oak Ridge Boys are just a small fraction of the all time great names that have performed there.

Finnigans now has The Gold Star Theater and is currently holding auditions for local talent in the Kansas City area that wants a chance and a place to perform.
