I bought this postcard because I liked the design, which I consider kind of a combination of Arts and Crafts style printing and Art Nouveau design. On examining the fine print I discovered that this card was ©1913 Geo. W. Parker Art Co. Minneapolis. Although I live in the Minneapolis area, this is the only postcard I have from that company.

Lovely card! If you wanted to mail it overseas in 1913, you were supposed to put "your two cents". :)
ReplyDeleteI love the domestic postage one cent and foreign two cents! Inflation!!!!! Lovely card. Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteAmazingly beautiful. The lettering is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing, text and graphic, seems to flow in one languid movement. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat design for a Greeting card, and I'm going to grab the image if you don't mind to keep as a model for lettering!

Beautifully designed, and I like the greeting too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful combination of image and typography. I like this late art nouveau style graphics that also have elements of the art déco style. Happy PFF.
ReplyDeleteI just love all the old Christmas postcards... TFS
ReplyDeleteHappy PFF!
This card is so cute! I went digging around the local Thrifts/Rummages and even a few random Yard Sales the past month looking for Old Xmas Post cards. It's so weird that I used to see a lot of these, and now I see none at all. Great Find, and thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards... SWEET little Kitten!
