This is a postcard with a corndog riddle that I got at the Minnesota State Fair a few years ago. A
corndog is a hot dog sausage coated in a thick layer of cornmeal batter, typically deep fried and served on a stick. Corndogs are one of the oldest and most popular foods on a stick, but there are many other foods on a stick available at the state fair. A long list of
Food on a Stick at the Minnesota State Fair is
here, and a list of the
10 Most Unusual Foods on a Stick at the MN State Fair is
here.
I am posting this now because today is
National Something on a Stick Day. Earlier this week, March 22 was
National Corndog Day.
(grin) Did you also know that today is also National Something on a Stick Day?! LOL I almost highlighted that holiday, but loved the one about cats better. This postcard is so darling. Bahahahaahaaa...made me laugh!
ReplyDeletelol Thank you so much for posting this--Happy Postcard Friendship Friday, my friend. Have a lovely weekend.
LOL I just noticed your comment at the bottom pf your page. LOL This postcard is just perfect for both holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love corn dogs. Something left over from my childhood that I still enjoy -- once a year! :) But not with Ketchup ... only mustard. Fun card! Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteI always use both ketchup and mustard.
DeleteI hardly dared look at the most unusual foods on a stick but they weren't too bad. Deep fried Mars Bars are very popular in Scotland.
ReplyDeleteFairs have been known to really celebrate the fried foods.
ReplyDeleteDeep fried marz bars?! Sheila, we must talk. LOL Sounds kind of good. LOL
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm a total redneck--I love ketchup!
