Bowlin's Running Indian Sign

Since the back of this postcard mentions the "Trading Post at N. Y. World's Fair 1964-65," this postcard is probably from the mid-1960s. Bowlin's is still in business, and the website for Bowlin's Running Indian Store near Alamogordo, New Mexico shows the Running Indian. There are some photos on flickr of almost identical Running Indian Signs.

It's a great sign even though he has tiny feet.

We have actually been through Alamagordo, NM, but I can't remember seeing this guy. I'll have to keep my eye out for him if we should ever happen through there again! Cool postcard!

LIttle bit of an outdated image these days -- I'm surprised they're still using that logo. Back in the day we thought it was really cute though.
