Union Pacific Streamliner "City of Los Angeles" Crossing the Desert

The Union Pacific "City of Los Angeles" is the longest streamline train in the world. It is seventeen cars in length, including three power cars equipped with gigantic Diesel engines that develop 5400 horsepower. The train is strikingly beautiful . . . distinctive in design . . . and incorporates many novel features. It is famous for its "Little Nugget" Club Lounge Car, a reproduction of the old time elegance of the Gay 90's. Chicago to Los Angeles 39-3/4 hours.
