The Sepia Saturday prompt this week is a photo of two young girls. Since it is Thanksgiving this week, I chose a Thanksgiving postcard with two young girls for my Sepia Saturday post this week.
I have a lot of old Thanksgiving postcards with children. I started collecting them because I was born on Thanksgiving. This year happens to be one of the years when my birthday actually falls on Thanksgiving.
Last year I made a video called Thanksgiving Fun on Vintage Postcards with postcards from my collection and posted it on YouTube. Thanksgiving Fun - except for the turkeys! I'm no veggie but it seems incongruous to have the subject of the feast celebrated in such a way on the postcards. Still, they are all lovely and the film is charming. Happy Birthday and Thanksgiving.
Wow, I enjoyed all of those,so colorful. The first with the girl and the ear of corn for the turkey was a favorite, but the one with the turkey chasing the boy with flag made me laugh! Kind of revenge of the fowl! Belated happy birthday and what a wonderful collection. I am amazed at how many you have.

A belated happy birthday from me too. What a great collection of thanksgiving cards. It's curious that there are so many. I wonder when people stopped sending thanksgiving cards. At some point I don't think they were very popular.
