VTT - Christmas Postcard & Shakers

This Christmas carols postcard was published by Whitney, probably in the 1920s. The Christmas salt and pepper shakers are probably from the 1950s or 1960s.

The caroling shakers have a silver palette-shaped Napco label with "a Napco Ceramic Japan." The pair of Mr. and Mrs. Santa shakers on the left just have a Japan label. The pair of Mr. and Mrs. Santa shakers on the right are marked "Lefton 1957."

  1. That postcard is really wonderful! And I've decided to start collecting old Christmas s&p shakers, because the big figurines are so expensive this year! I love your collection, especially the carolers!
    Merry Christmas and Happy VTT!

  5. I always enjoy seeing what postcard you will show. Christmas postcards are one of my favorites.
The S & P shakers are really cute. I've found some single shakers at the thrift stores recently. I bought them even though they weren't in a pair...they still have that vintage look I love.

  6. Love the shakers. I have a piece similar that is not a shaker. Looks like the same kids though. The postcard is great!
