VTT - High School & Graduation Keepsakes

When I saw all the vintage high school graduation thingies last week, I decided to show my things this week. The large letter postcard is from the town where my high school was located. The large "L" appears to have a picture of the high school.

The first photo shows my senior yearbook, my diploma, the tassel from my graduation cap, a pinback button, and a gold graduation charm. The second photo is a closeup of the charm. The charm has a relief of a diploma, eyeglasses, and a book. There is a red stone on the diploma and a pearl border around everything.

I'm participating in Vintage Thingie Thursday

  1. Happy VTT and what a sweet walk down memory lane! I graduated 18 years ago tomorrow and was just telling my sons about it at dinner tonight. Do you think I have clue 1 where my tassel, diploma and other pieces of memorabilia are? No! I can only hope my mother tucked them away until I was old enough to care- I think I'll call her now.

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Nice to keep those things. I have lots of things I just keep digging around and have plenty of things to show. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever dream I would be using them like this. I just love VTT. blessings

  13. How funny is it that things that we have as our own personal history are now considered vintage. Oh dear. Thanks for sharing your memories.

  14. I love the charm pin, what a wonderful piece! I have no idea where any of my things are from graduation, maybe as we're unpacking yet again I'll be lucky enough to come across something.

  18. Awesome large letter postcard! I did a VTT on my postcard book by the same company awhile back (it's in my Etsy shop now, though, as part of my purge).

I really like the gold charm -- I would totally wear that now as a pendant or brooch!

  19. Hi Postcardy, How great that you have saved things that are treasures to remember from HS. I have moved so many times things just disappeared. I do have my prom dress and my wedding dress. Enjoy your memories, I would.
